Jacqueline Eyre MNCPS (Acc.) – Health & Wellbeing Counselling Services
Supporting students, psychotherapists and counsellors with clinical supervision.
I support students, psychotherapists and counsellors with clinical supervision. This is required every month to keep our profession in good practice and healthy for all practitioners to-ensure we are all having our mental health supported.
It is recommended that we change our supervisor every 3-5 years to ensure a fresh approach.
I use the seven eyed model approach developed by Peter Hawkins and Robin Shohet.
My qualification allows sessions to be conducted in person, over zoom or telephone.
Student rates are available.
I am registered with Salford University & Trafford and Stockport Colleges.
Seven eyed model of supervision
The Seven-Eyed Supervision Model is seen as a well-rounded approach because it helps to coach and provide good leadership in supervision. It is suitable for leaders, counsellors and students to grow in both skills and self-awareness. It encourages reflection, confidence, and professional development.
This is the break down of the seven eyed model
Eye 1 – The focus is on the client and encourages the supervisee to create a picture of how the client is presenting in the session. We examine assumptions and interpretations.
Eye 2 – The focus is on the strategies and interventions. Support the supervisee with techniques and different models.
Eye 3 – The focus is on the supervisee and client relationship to encourage them to step outside and look at patterns and dynamics.
Eye 4 – The focus is on the supervisee to support them to look at their internal feelings and assumptions. To explore any emotional reactions to the client to assess if there is any counter transference. This is helpful in building resilience.
Eye 5 – The focus is on the supervisory relationship. We look at parallel process to enable the supervisor to explore and reflect.
Eye 6 – The focus is on the supervisor to make use of own thoughts and feelings effectively. This assists the supervisee with experience and knowledge.
Eye 7 – The focus is on the wider context. This considers the organisation policies, culture, ethical and other aspects to support the supervisee in their work.
These sessions are a minimum of 1.5 hours.
